Brock studied clairvoyance (“clear seeing”), meditation and healing at the Washington Psychic Institute (Church of Divine Man / CDM) in the Pacific Northwest while a chaplain at Western State Hospital. He graduated from their Clairvoyant Training Program and was ordained a CDM minister. Brock did psychic readings, workshops, classes and counseling in Chicago while a columnist for a holistic counseling and world religions magazine.

CDM is described in their website (www.c-d-m.org) which includes Rev. Mary Ellen Flora’s Clairvoyance, Healing, Chakras, Meditation, Male and Female Energy, et al. books. CDM clairvoyant readers look at how a person is “creating their own reality”. The aura is related to the seven major charkas (energy centers) along the spine: First (survival, career); Second (emotions, sexuality), Third (power, out-of-body experience), Fourth (affinity and Oneness with others), Fifth (communication), Sixth (clairvoyance) and Seventh (one’s own information, Knowingness). Various colors and their clarity in the aura provide information about a person’s growth.

Everyone is “psychic” which is defined by CDM as “spirit”. Clairvoyance is a Sixth chakra spiritual ability we use all the time. Career, relationship, health, et al. issues could include past lifetimes, psychosomatic health, astral travel, spirit guides and communication with those who have passed to the other side. Also, how others’ energy affects one’s creativity and power by support, invalidation, competition and religious scripts. Brock’s own version of CDM readings also includes pastoral counseling and astrology.

Astrology. Each of us chooses an astrology chart between lifetimes, one that maps out the body, mind and spirit lessons we want to work on. Planetary transits affect our growth in families, relationships, career, past life karma, etc. Their house placement and duration indicate the changes we’re making. .
